The Fostering Success Act allows donors to claim a dollar-for-dollar Tax Credit for your pre-approved donation to The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative! Simply follow these easy steps. PLEASE NOTE: LIMITS LIFTED JULY 1

1. APPLY for Pre-Approval:

• Visit the GA Tax Center https://gtc.dor.ga.gov/
• Log into your individual or corporate tax account or create an account.
• Click Manage My Credits
• Under View My Credits, click Request Credit Pre-Approval 
• Select Credit Type 151 Foster Care
• Select The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative
• You will receive approval from GTC.

2. DONATE to ODBI:

• Once approved, you have 60 days to donate your Tax Credit amount to The Orange Duffel Bag Initiative.

TAX CREDIT DONOR LIMITS UNTIL JULY 1

• Single individual or a head of household: Up to $2,500
• Married filing a joint return: Up to $5,000
• LLC, S Corporation, or Partnership: Up to $5,000
• Corporations/Others: Up to 10 percent of tax liability

After your donation, ODBI will issue you a form for your tax records.
